Jeremy Frantz is a member of the living dead, the butt of society’s narrow-minded prejudice, unable to hold down a job due to his putrid, decomposing body, feared due to his craving for human brains. The film documents his day-to-day death, culminating in a raucous night out where Jeremy and his friends seek some solace in their cruel social netherworld. A marvellous spoof, Night Off of the Living Dead belongs to the same affectionate genre as Shaun of the Dead.

Fleeing a series of atrocities in their northern English town, three friends head for the countryside. But, in the woods, death lurks – death in the form of lurching, undead figures that attack without warning. A tense, chilling and imaginative low-budget companion piece to George Romero’s The Crazies and Danny Boyle’s 28 Days Later, Bloodline is a triumphant zombie thriller from the Austin Brothers.
