JENNY AGUTTER IN CONVERSATION
The Guest of Honour at this year’s Derby Film Festival, Jenny Agutter began her career as a child actress in the mid ‘60s. After several modest film roles she enjoyed big screen success in the 1970s in movies such as The Eagle Has Landed, Logan’s Run and Equus. As well as cinema her career has encompassed theatre and TV – she is one of the stars of the hugely popular Call the Midwife – and was part of the ensemble cast of Spooks. Jenny is perhaps best known and best loved for a trio of classic films: Walkabout, The Railway Children and An American Werewolf in London. New work includes Queen of the Desert for Werner Herzog and, of course, a new series of Call the Midwife. We are thrilled to welcome her to Derby Film Festival to discuss her life in movies.
