PETER SASDY IN CONVERSATION
One of Hammer’s key directors during the 1970s, Peter Sasdy presented his own intelligent variations on established themes via titles such as Taste the Blood of Dracula, Hands of the Ripper and Countess Dracula. Massively experienced in episodic television he brought style and discipline to an array of movie and TV films, which also included Nothing but the Night, Doomwatch, I Don’t Want to be Born and Welcome to Blood City. Sasdy skipped nimbly between Hammer’s gothic trademarks and contemporary chillers, Seen today his films retain an allure and impact that set them apart from others of that era.
We are delighted to welcome him to FANTASTIQ III in this, his 80th year, for a special celebration of his work in the genre.
